Irelyn's First Birthday!

We had so much fun on Irelyn's 1st Birthday! Her party was on her actual birthday - we celebrated at a local park with family and friends. Our favorite memories from the day were watching her play in the dirt on the playground, driving her around the field while she picked grass and would not look at the camera and enjoying her birthday cake that she shared so generously! Happy Thanksgiving

Irelyn enjoyed the mud, grass and twigs at the Botanical Gardens in Austin, TX. During our photo session she learned to eat from the earth. Mud is organic, right?!? This is her first Thanksgiving dress. I was a little frustrated with her mud fascination during the photo session, but now my thoughts have turned to laughter and joy. It is a blessing to watch her grow and learn. The best is when she laughs for no reason at all, but because I am laughing. love it! Enjoy the memories captured.

Harvest Time

We enjoyed a trip to the Arboretum while we were in Dallas last week. I was in town for my 10-year high school reunion and this was my favorite part of the weekend. Irelyn spent the day attempting to eat all the pumpkins and their stems.

Irelyn is now 6 months old. We baby proofed our living room this weekend - which was a bit past due because of her army crawl. She's into everything now. :) Enjoy the photos and Happy Fall!

First Swim Continued

Here's a few more photos from Irelyn's first swim. She LOVES the water and often cries when we take her out of the bath or pool. Irelyn's first swim was at Donna's house, where my mom took me to swim when I was a baby. Thanks, Donna, for the beautiful photos!
